From start to SabreTech Software...

SabreTech Software is a privately owned and operated software company. Over the years after having operated many BBS under various names SabreTech Software was born.

The first Bulletin Board System (BBS) I setup was started in 1993 which was run on a 486/33DX DOS box using Ezycom Software, DesqView with 3 phone lines and 8 CD-ROMs named The Gremlins Palace. One of the top 25 largest board around during that time and more definitely the largest running on a single CPU. (If you ever want to learn about computers try being a SysOp of a BBS for a few years. :-) ) After a few years of running a hobby BBS a decision was made to change to PCBoard/2 and OS/2 because of the powerful multitasking capabilities of OS/2. With a 468/66DX2, 32 Megs of RAM a 8 Line Gamers Board which I named Game Quest Online which offered multi-player Doom using the APCI MPG allowed users to call in and play Doom with their friends. Wanting to do more than just games, I started more into programming and needed a name to reflect the change. To get the exposure needed to I came up with SabreTech Software and quickly registered SabreTech.com. Remember, "Sabre is spelled the same way as "SabreTooth Cat"

1) SabreTooth Cat
2) SabreTooth Cat

A great deal of time was spent playing around with different languages during the early years and I made many small utilities that were never released. Each software was designed specific to a task of helping automate the daily maintenance of running a BBS. Many of these are still in use on hundreds of BBS . The SabreTech BBS is no longer running but recently a lot of people have been going back to their roots and starting up their old boards again. I am seriously considering the same because the net is just to cumbersome in many areas and far too much information overload. Gone are the days when everyone knew what board you ran and the personality each and every Systems Operator was known for. We hope to bring this back and put some personality back into the community!

Where are we now and the future...

Many things have since happened since the first BBS and a few other companies I now own and operate have become very successful. We can assure you that we are dedicated to working hard to satisfy our clients requirements and requests now and far into the future.
